Dunedin
Well after a few calm(ish) weeks in wellington we decided to head down south again to visit my friend Adrienne from Trent, whose been living down there for 3 years. I've never had a bad time with adrienne buckingham and that continued to be true this week-end. She showed us a good time in Dunners.

There's not tons of pics from this week-end cause one of us forgot their camera (i'm not going to say it wasn't me.) but deb powered through and captured the key events for both of us. First stop saturday afternoon was to the peninsula and the only place on earth where the cute cute cute yellow eyed penguins live. We went at the end of the say to see them returning home from fishing in the sea to thier homes and partners. This was no march of the penguins though this was more the young and the restless penguins. You see donna was with doug, then she left him for josh, then josh disappeared under "mysterious circumstances" now suddenly donna's back with doug...well needless to say the three of us were pretty obsessed with the penguins lives.

Home with Adrienne - she had E!TV therefore making her house pretty great (and hard to leave...we love celeb gossip and E true hollywood story)

In the world people...that's steep! We kid you not but we climbed to the top (despite being slightly hungover from saturday night on the town...just made the accomplishment that much sweeter)

Master tourguide Adrienne also drove us up the coast the the Moreaki boulders, they're a geographical phenomanon. Ok we dont really know what that means either but look how cool they are.

Dunedin's the home of the second largest cadbury factory in the world. So great, definitley the best chocolate factory i've ever been too (take that hershey factory in smith falls...maybe when you start giving out free samples left, right and centre i'll re-evaluate until then cadbury on!)
And capping off our trip with a gold medal ale, speights the pride of the south, brewed in dunedin. We also tried chocolate beer - what can we say they're proud of their chocolate factory here (and rightfully so!)
